Privacy Policy

• Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, and password when you register or sign in, including sign-in through Google.
• Order and delivery information. The products you add to your cart, your orders, and the shipping addresses you save so we can deliver your items.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe and MTN Mobile Money). We receive a token plus limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and the expiry date. We never receive or store your full card number or CVC.
• Product information imported from Amazon. When you use the browser extension, the product details from your Amazon cart, as described in the section below.
• Technical information. Standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, which we use to keep the service secure and working correctly.

The BuyBorderless browser extension has a single purpose: to copy the items in your Amazon shopping cart into your BuyBorderless cart so we can order and ship them to you.

The extension only runs on Amazon shopping cart pages and on the BuyBorderless website. It does not run anywhere else on the web. It reads the cart page only when you open the extension and click “Fetch Cart Items”.

When you do that, it reads the following from the page:

• Product title, product identifier (ASIN), and product page link
• Price, quantity, and product image
• Availability, shipping, and delivery text shown next to the item

This information is stored on your own device using the browser’s local extension storage so the popup can show it to you. Nothing is sent anywhere until you click “Proceed”. At that point the items are sent to your BuyBorderless account so they appear in your cart, and the local copy on your device is deleted.

The extension requests two permissions, and only these two:

• activeTab — to read the Amazon cart page you are currently looking at when you click the extension.
• storage— to hold the cart items on your device between clicking “Fetch Cart Items” and “Proceed”.

The extension does not:

• Read your Amazon login details, passwords, payment methods, or order history
• Track your browsing across websites or build an advertising profile
• Collect data from any page other than an Amazon cart page
• Sell or transfer your data to third parties, or use it for any purpose unrelated to importing your cart
• Load or run remote code

• To create and manage your account
• To price, place, pay for, and ship your orders
• To send you updates about your orders and respond to support requests
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the service secure
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share information only with the service providers we need to run BuyBorderless, and only to the extent required to provide the service:

• Payment providers, to process your payments
• Retailers and suppliers, to place the orders you ask us to place
• Shipping and freight partners, to deliver your items
• Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate our systems

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of our users.

We keep account, order, and payment records for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Cart items imported through the extension are removed from your device as soon as they are transferred to your account.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, access to our systems is restricted, and payment credentials are handled by our payment providers rather than stored by us. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

You can view and update your account details and addresses from your profile settings at any time. You can also ask us to provide a copy of your data or to delete your account by contacting us at the address below. Removing the browser extension deletes any cart data it had stored on your device.

BuyBorderless is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be communicated to you directly.
